Webinar: Demystifying Sensing Edges for Commercial Doors with Miller Edge

As a leading manufacturer and distributor of garage door parts and accessories, Action Industries strives to educate our customers with the best information to make the right purchase. That’s why we partnered with Miller Edge to present our newest Webinar: Demystifying Sensing Edges for Commercial Doors with Miller Edge. In this educational webinar, we break down the industry safety standards for sensing edges to simplify the buying process and help any customer find a compatible entrapment device for their door.

Sensing Edges come in two primary configurations: Non-Monitored and Monitored. We explain the technical differences between the two, the advantages of monitored safety edges, and detail UL325 2010 requirements for entrapment devices.

  • Monitored Sensing Edges were designed to comply with UL325 2010 and communicate with the operator when there is a malfunction with the sensing edge.

  • Non-Monitored Sensing Edges are typically found on pre-2010 operators and were built prior to UL325 2010 requirements. Commonly used as secondary safety devices on newer installations.

Learn how to simplify your buying decision with the new Sensing Edge Field Worksheet. The seven step interactive worksheet is designed to build sensing edge orders on the fly or in the field. It runs through the essential components of sensing edge and door compatibility to narrow down device options to find the right sensing edge for any door. Worksheet options include style of door, monitoring style, outlet location, color, and switch configuration to cover every base for selecting an entrapment device. Watch our webinar for an in depth explanation of every option and get step-by-step instructions on filling out the worksheet.
