Take Up Reels

Take-up reels are electric cords designed to move with a garage door as it opens and closes. Sensing Edges, also known as safety edges, installed at the bottom of a garage door require a wired connection to the operator to send it a signal to reverse movement or stop in place. Take up reels expand and retract with the safety edge as it moves with the door.
