Janus’ Inside Bottom Bar Slide Latch is a locking device that mounts to the interior of a garage door at both ends of the bottom bar angle. This locking assembly ensures that a garage door can only be opened by disengaging the latches installed on the bottom bar. Two metal latches are constructed of a step plate and slide lock. The step plate mounts on pre-existing holes on the garage door’s bottom bar and holds the simple slide lock mechanisms in place. Each Bottom Bar Slide Latch comes with the necessary hardware for a complete installation. Once the latches are installed at the bottom bar they slide into a pre-existing slot at the bottom of the garage door track. Each Janus slide latch comes equipped with slots for padlocks for additional security.
