Capacitors
Capacitors are installed inside of the garage door operator control box and store electrical energy to turn on the opener. When a LiftMaster/Chamberlain garage door operator is activated, more power than supplied by the power circuit is required. Capacitors store the necessary electrical energy to provide bursts of power to start the operator.
Capacitors are important components required for an operator to turn on and work properly. If an operator suddenly is having trouble turning on, the capacitor likely needs replaced. LiftMaster's capacitor's are easy to install with wires that easily clamp to metal connections. Look through this section of LiftMaster garage door opener parts to find the right capacitor for your operator.
